This past Fr iday - Sunday the VJMC participated in the Cycle World International Motorcycle Show held at the Rock Financial Showplace in Novi MI. This was the third year of our participation and it went great!

We had a 10' x 50' space in which we displayed 15 vintage bikes and our 8' info table. Bikes ranged from the 60' and into the 80's, 90cc to 1000cc Turbo, street to cafe and dirt to ice, common to unique. A little for everyone to relate to, especially the Honda, Kawasaki , Yamaha and Suzuki manufacture reps. that were in awhhhh!

Our exhibit was staffed at all times with two VJMC members (each taking two 2-hour shifts) and vary often with 3-5 members because of the excitement our booth produced, traffic was heavy. We took in 22 new memberships, passed out another 50+ take home / mail in membership forms and handed out some 300+ info fliers pointing them to our website.

Five of the bikes on display were from NEW members having joined in the last month. They d id a great job to quickly learn the highpoints of the club for effective promotion. I paired each of them with a veteran member for comfort and gu id ance. I included them into our exhibit to stimulate lasting interest and comfort in discussing the VJMC with others. At the shows end, they were excited to have participated and look forward to our season of activities ahead.
